Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) affect millions of individuals and families across the United States—but support, services, and awareness remain far behind where they need to be. Too many Utah individuals and families impacted by FASD face daily challenges without the resources, education, or coordinated systems of care they deserve.

This year, Congress has the opportunity to change that. Two critical pieces of legislation—the FASD Respect Act 2025 and the SUPPORT Act 2025—would make historic progress in providing the recognition, funding, and programs that families have been waiting for.

  • The FASD Respect Act 2025 would create FASD Centers for Excellence, provide funding for prevention and services, and ensure individuals with FASD are included in federal health and education initiatives.

  • The SUPPORT Act 2025 includes provisions that directly address FASD, expanding resources for prevention, intervention, and treatment.

Both bills represent life-changing opportunities for individuals living with FASD in Utah and nationwide. But to move forward, they need strong support from our senators.

Take Action: Add your signature to a letter to urge Senator Mike Lee and Senator Jon Curtis to stand with families impacted by FASD by supporting both the FASD Respect Act 2025 and the FASD provisions in the SUPPORT Act 2025.

Every signature matters. When our elected officials hear directly from the people most affected—individuals with FASD, parents, caregivers, educators, and allies—it makes a powerful difference.

Together, we can make sure Utah voices are heard loud and clear in Washington, D.C. Let’s ensure our senators know that families impacted by FASD need and deserve their leadership. Thank you!
